Sinisa Mihajlovic insists Milan’s win over Perugia was ‘not easy’ and slammed fans who whistled Alessio Cerci.

The Rossoneri won their first official match under the Serbian Coach, but the tactician was not entirely satisfied with his team’s efforts.

“We did well,” Mihajlovic told RAI after the match.

“But we eased off after 2-0, and I didn’t like that, because you always have to play to the maximum.

“Everyone played their part, and it wasn’t easy. It was the first game, but we did things the right way and we have to continue like this.

“Rodrigo Ely and Alessio Romagnoli? They were good, they were alert and focused. We didn’t risk anything. It was a good test, but after 2-0 we had to push on.”

Alessio Cerci was given the final 10 minutes of the match, but was whistled by sections of the San Siro crowd, something which enraged Mihajlovic.

“That was the only negative thing. I don’t understand how fans can whistle a Milan player.

"If you’re at the stadium, you have to cheer, whistle after the match if you’re not happy.

“It’s unacceptable, the players gave everything for the shirt.”
