The Rossoneri kept their first clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Chievo and notched up a second straight Serie A win.

“Once again we barely allowed a shot on goal for our opponents and the second half was considerably better than the first,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset Premium.

“We kept a clean sheet and after 10 rounds of always conceding at least one goal that is already an achievement. We had numerous shots on target and it’s a shame we were unable to convert more of them.

“We picked up some points and climbed up the standings, so this should help shake off some of that fear we’ve been carrying from previous seasons.”

Has the pressure been building on Milan with the constant speculation over Mihajlovic’s position?

“I am not worried for me, as I have broad shoulders and I’m used to this. The players might suffer the situation a little more, but we’ve got seven points from three games, we hope to get some forwards back from injury and then we might start to have a little fun.

“These are players who can make the difference. It’s still the time to suffer and climb that hill, but it’ll be easier as time goes on.

“Ultimately today it was a deserved victory, as we had many chances to increase our lead. We train on everything, including finishing.

“This was a fundamental win to boost confidence and I compliment Chievo for their performance. Now we have another difficult match against Lazio coming up.”

Mihajlovic was asked about President Silvio Berlusconi’s joke that he’d play for Milan if he had time.

“In that case we’re fortunate he was busy!”
