The Rossoblu picked up a 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.

In 2019, Mihajlovic surprisingly showed up at the stadium for the same fixture, just a few hours after his first cycle of chemotherapy.

“It was moving to return here, I must say I had to fight back the tears,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“The stairs seemed endless two years ago, this time around not as much. Even the technical area seemed smaller than two years ago.

“I am feeling well now, but the result hasn’t changed as two years ago we picked another draw.”

Bologna host Juventus at the Stadio Dall'Ara in the last game of the season on Sunday with the Bianconeri in the race for a top four finish.

“I am sure they will appoint a proper referee given that this season we’ve had a few debutants that made some mistakes,” the coach said.

“They will appoint Valeri, or Giacomelli, I am sure about it, I can bet anything you want. Then we’ll have to play the game. On paper, we have no chances, but we’ll try.

Cagliari seemed to have no chances against Milan, but football is nice because you never know how a game will end up.”
