Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic believes his Benevento counterpart Filippo Inzaghi has “evolved” and “changed the way he sees football”.
Inzaghi was sacked by Bologna last year with Mihajlovic coming in as his replacement. “It can happen to anyone,” Sinisa said ahead of his side trip’s to the Vigorito. “He has improved. The most important thing is to learn from the mistakes of the past. He has definitely changed the way he sees football.”

Miha urged Bologna to show the same attitude that led his team to a 4-1 derby win against Parma last week: “I always tell the team to play with courage, for me the win against Parma came as no surprise in much the same way our defeat to Milan defeat didn’t. Tomorrow’s game is one we can win, Benevento dominated the Serie B campaign last season, but Serie A is different. We respect them, they will play to win but I believe the result is up to us.”
Bologna will be without the injured Andrea Poli who is expected to remain out of action for up to two months with a compound fracture of the fibula of his right leg. Gary Medel could replace the former Milan man in the middle of the park: “We will see if he plays,” Mihajlovic said. “He has won the Copa America twice as a central defender, but he can also play in midfield
“I do not expect any new signings to replace Poli. Our squad is complete and is full of International players. We are ok as we are.”
The 51-year-old praised Scottish defender Aaron Hickey: “I could tell he was ready by watching him on video. That feeling was backed up when he got here. One needs courage to field young players but it is important to trust them.”
