Mihajlovic: ‘Hope Ibrahimovic continues playing’

Sinisa Mihajlovic hopes Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic can continue playing ‘for as long as possible,’ albeit not too well against Bologna tonight.

It kicks off at the Stadio Dall’Ara at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from that game on the LIVEBLOG.

Bologna coach Miha is famously very good friends with Ibrahimovic, who gets his first start of the season this evening, having recently celebrated his 40th birthday.

“Time passes for everyone, it’s a real pity when the moment comes for players like Ibra, Francesco Totti and others to hang up their boots,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I hope he’s not in his best shape tonight, obviously, but I’m still always happy to see him on the pitch. I hope for him and for all of football that he’s out there for as long as possible.”
