Sinisa Mihajlovic feels the return of Adrian Mutu and other players is behind Fiorentina's stunning victory in Sicily.

The Viola were without a single away win all season, while Palermo had seven consecutive home triumphs, so this 4-2 result was a huge shock.

“I am very satisfied,” grinned Mihajlovic. “We're still not at our best, because we are missing some key players for the attack. Once we have everyone back, we will be able to play even better.

“You could see the difference today from bringing back certain players. It wasn't easy to come to Palermo and win the way we did. I think it was deserved.

“Palermo have the second most prolific side in Serie A, but they have also conceded many goals, so we tried to hit them in their weak spot. If Palermo had a defence as strong as their attack, then they'd certainly win the Scudetto.

“This victory gives us a morale boost ahead of the game with Inter.”

Midweek the Viola will face Leonardo's side in the rescheduled Serie A game from December, when Inter were on Club World Cup duty.
