It is a year since we lost Sinisa Mihajlovic and his family will be at the Stadio Olimpico and the Stadio Dall’Ara today for games involving his former clubs.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s five Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

Mihajlovic died from leukaemia on December 16, 2022 at the age of 53, having first been diagnosed with the form of blood cancer in the summer of 2019.

After retirement, his family set up home in Rome, so his brother Drazen will be in the stands when Lazio and Inter go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, wife Arianna and daughter Viktorija revealed on Instagram they will instead be attending Bologna vs. Roma at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“My family and I will be in Bologna to remember our father. We thank the club for having invited us,” wrote Viktorija.

“I wish to point out that they are the only ones who did invite us. The other stories emerging are absolutely false. Thank you again to Bologna.”

This seems to be a reaction to the statement made by Lazio President Claudio Lotito.

“I invited Arianna Mihajlovic and her children to be with us to watch Lazio-Inter, because we will remember Sinisa with a special dedication.”

He spent practically his entire career in Italy at Roma from 1992-94, then Sampdoria until 1998, spending six years with the Biancocelesti before seeing out his playing days at Inter in 2006.

Miha then became an assistant manager to Roberto Mancini at Inter, before branching out on his own with Catania, Fiorentina, the Serbia national team, Sampdoria, Milan, Torino and Bologna.
