The tactician’s future was in doubt after President Eduardo Garrone surprisingly announced this week he had sold the club.

On Saturday night Mihajlovic met new patron Massimo Ferrero for dinner and they officially agreed to work together on the next season.

“I will continue to be the Sampdoria Coach and I am very happy and satisfied to do so,” declared Mihajlovic.

“I met President Ferrero for the first time, it was a pleasure getting to know him and his plans. I can’t wait to start work at the Bogliasco training camp.”

Ferrero also spoke to the media following their dinner date.

“My project convinced the Coach. Now we will get to work in order to build our Samp.”
