Mihajlovic announced the squad will go into a training retreat immediately and at least up until Saturday for the game with Juventus.

“Today we were fortunate to take the lead, but were unable to finish it off,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“We can only apologise to the supporters, because this was an unacceptable performance.

“We only picked up two points against teams who on paper are weaker than we are. If after 31 rounds you keep saying the same things, it means we have some limitations.

“This is why we are going into a training retreat, at least until Saturday, to prepare for the match with Juventus.

“We have reached the limit, there is nothing else we can do at this point. I take responsibility and the club agrees.

“This side lacks determination and character. We cannot keep losing every 50-50 ball. Now we have to look behind us at those chasing and try to end the season by winning the Coppa Italia.”
