But a mistake by goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski gave Nicolas Viola the chance to equalise and claim a point for the visitors.

“I can’t be satisfied with the result,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia. “Unfortunately, we continue to concede avoidable goals.

“A team that wants to save themselves can also defend an advantage without necessarily giving up.

“We had opportunities to double the lead and it didn’t seem like we would suffer a draw, but Benevento exploited our lack of concentration and in the end they tried to create even more difficulty.

“I’m angry, it’s not a point that satisfies me.

“We only resumed playing after the equaliser and that’s not good. We work hard during the week and we can’t throw away points in this way.

“In the end, you can draw, God forbid, but I’m angry and I’m not going home satisfied.”
