Milan’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani insists the dressing room atmosphere under Sinisa Mihajlovic was “perfect”.

The Serbian Coach was dismissed yesterday, and some have suggested that he had lost the dressing room, but speaking at the presentation of new Coach Cristian Brocchi the director insisted that wasn’t the case.

“The atmosphere with Mihajlovic was perfect,” Galliani told the assembled media.

“I never perceived a negative atmosphere in the dressing room. That’s a lie, it’s untrue.

“Brocchi? It’ll depend mainly on how we play. Milan have always been a team which played good football.

“I talk to the President [Silvio Berlusconi] most days and he’s not happy when we play badly, not just if we lose.

“Obviously everything is important, but I think the style of play is of particular importance for this club.”

Galliani was then asked about the recent struggled the Rossoneri have endured, with many fans calling for him to step down.

“I’ve been in football for many years, and I can tell you that results come from a combination of the club, the Coach and the players.

“If we’re not getting results then all three components are a contributing factor.

“In the last two-and-a-half years the results haven’t been there, but remember we were the last club to win the Scudetto before Juventus’ domination.

“The latest results haven’t satisfied us, we hope this season won’t end in failure. Milan must return to the highest levels.

“Since the introduction of the Champions League in 1992-93 we’re the team that has made the most finals, and in this period the President has been Berlusconi with me working under him.

“The criticism that has come in has been a bit unfair, but we’re working to have a future similar to our past.

“My future? Directors are appointed by the shareholders. I feel great and in top form, but the choice of director is up to the company.

“My future is therefore in the hands of Fininvest, as it has been for the last 30 years.

“As a child it was my dream to work in football. I’ve definitely made mistakes over these last 30 years, but victories and defeats come from the trio formed by the club, the Coach and the players.

“So there have definitely been mistakes and things done well.”

Finally, the joint-CEO was asked about investment in the club, with the deal with Bee Taechaubol yet to be concluded.

“Whether there are negations with the Chinese or not isn’t down to those who run Milan, but the owners, Fininvest,” Galliani shrugged.

“The President and I only talk about football.”
