Sinisa Mihajlovic said Bologna aim to win their three remaining games to collect 49 points, two more than last term.

Bologna host Genoa at the Renato Dall’Ara and the Rossoblu are practically safe, but Mihajlovic doesn’t want his players to rest before the season is over.

Mihajlovic’s team sit 12th in the table with 40 points from 35 games and the coach wants to beat last year’s return.

“The meaning of these three remaining games? To try to score nine points and get the record,” Mihajlovic said at a press conference.

“Scoring 49 points would make great sense, also because we stopped at 47 last term.”

The Serbian said he’s happy the former Bologna striker Mattia Destro is doing well with the Grifone this year.

The 30-year-old has scored 11 goals in 28 Serie A games with Genoa after moving from Bologna on a permanent deal last summer.

“I know Destro well, I’m happy that he’s doing very well in Genoa,” Mihajlovic said. “You can see that he had to change the atmosphere.”
