“There is nothing official yet, but there are talks going on regarding a move to Dubai,” agent Francesco Caliandro told Sport Italia.

That seems to be news to Palermo director Giorgio Perinetti who told the same show: “There is no negotiation taking place.”

President Maurizio Zamparini added: “I think that Fabrizio will stay here at Palermo. If his agent has changed his mind and has other ideas then he needs to tell us as soon as possible.”

The 33-year-old forward has been playing his football at the Stadio Barbera since his 2007 switch after two seasons in Portugal with Benfica.
