Fabrizio Miccoli is continuing his career in Malta by signing for tiny club Birkirkara FC.
The ‘Maradona del Salento’ turns 36 on Saturday and surprised many today by putting pen to paper with a Maltese side on a one-year contract.
The former Italy international had been at hometown club Lecce in Lega Pro – Italy’s third division – for the last two years.
His previous clubs include Juventus, Perugia, Fiorentina, Benfica and Palermo.
