Mexican third tier side Leviatán FC raised eyebrows after wearing fake Inter shirts in their 2-0 loss to Cafetaleros.

Footy Headlines details how the Mexican club’s usual shirts, an eye catching and attractive turquoise base with a unique dragon design, were stolen ahead of their January 14 clash with Cafetaleros, forcing them to quickly come up with some alternatives before the kick-off of their Liga Premier de México match.

Leviatán FC amusingly turned up with a set of unconvincing fake Inter shirts, based on the Nerazzurri’s away kit from last season. Present on the shirt were the Scudetto, the club’s badge and the Socios.com sponsor, which had been covered up. The dragon design was far off from the one seen on the genuine shirts.

Although Leviatán FC lost on the pitch, they’d have suffered defeat regardless, as the kit wasn’t registered with the Liga Premier de México. The club are also at risk of being fined.
