Philippe Mexes is heading for a lengthy ban after he physically attacked Stefano Mauri during Lazio–Milan.
The defender received a second yellow card for reacting to an earlier foul during injury time in Milan’s 3-1 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.
It was at this point that the Frenchman lost his mind completely, getting Mauri in a chokehold from behind.
It took several teammates to drag Mexes away from Mauri and manhandle him off the field, as he was trying to continue the fight.

It’s safe to say Mexes is going to receive a very long ban for this behaviour and it may well also scupper his hopes of a contract extension.
He will be out of contract with Milan in June.
