Giandomenico Mesto’s agent has revealed that his client renewing with Napoli is a ‘formality’.
The 31-year-old has played just eight times for the Partenopei this term after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture earlier in the season.
However, with his contract set to expire in 2015, the defender’s representative has admitted that everyone is keen to sign a new deal soon.
“Mesto’s renewal is a formality,” Moreno Roggi told Radio Crc. “There is an agreement in place, and all that’s lacking is a signature.
“We are men of our word and for some time now we’ve a renewal in place.
“I can assure everyone that Mesto will sign soon.
“It’s not an urgent issue though, so I can’t say when he will put pen-to-paper.”
