Whilst Milan did finalise a deal for Junior Messias today, they are still planning to pick up Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea.

The Rossoneri will buy the Brazilian forward from Cagliari in a deal worth around €4.5m, obtaining a discount on the previously-agreed fee. He’ll continue to be used as a squad option by Stefano Pioli, filing in when necessary and sometimes bringing an extra spark to matches.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the signing of Messias hasn’t made a difference to Milan’s quest for Chelsea forward Ziyech, who is even less likely to receive minutes as the Blues close in on a deal for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.

The Rossoneri are looking to sign the 29-year-old Moroccan forward on a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached worth around €25-30m. A final price still hasn’t been agreed yet but things could be opened up soon, especially if the Premier League side are about to finalise Sterling’s arrival.
