Messi to miss Napoli-Barca

Lionel Messi will miss Barcelona’s friendly double-header against Napoli with a calf injury.

Messi had only just resumed training with Barca after his participation at Copa America, but the Catalans’ confirmed on their official website that he had picked up a ‘grade-I calf strain’.

Furthermore, the No 10 will not travel to the US for the clashes with Napoli in Miami and Ann Arbor on August 8 and 10 respectively.

It comes after the Argentine was given a three-month international ban for suggesting Brazil were favoured at Copa America.
