According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Leo Messi’s Inter Miami are interested in Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

MLS side Inter Miami are interested in signing Juventus and USMNT midfielder McKennie, according to a recent report from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The American midfielder is not part of Thiago Motta’s plans in Turin, so he may be forced to train separately at Continassa when he starts the pre-season after his holiday.

McKennie has already rejected a move to Aston Villa and has only one year left in his contract at the Allianz Stadium.

The 25-year-old has attracted interest from Bundesliga and Turkish clubs as well, including José Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

However, according to Gazzetta, playing with superstars such as Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets would be the most appealing opportunity for McKennie, who would, in any case, need to lower his salary to join any of the clubs interested in his signature.

McKennie has been playing for Juventus since 2020, although he left the club on loan in the second part of 2022-23, joining Leeds United on a temporary transfer.
