Belgium international Dries Mertens assures he will ‘not be leaving Napoli, as there is absolutely no reason for me to leave.’
He is preparing for Euro 2020 and spoke about his future at club level during today’s press conference.
“I don’t think I will leave Napoli, no. The problem is that I’m not supposed to talk about Napoli here, but in any case, I will not be leaving.
“There is absolutely no reason for me to leave. So I deny any reports of my future away from Napoli.”
Mertens is the all-time top scorer for the Partenopei and the 34-year-old is under contract until June 2022, with an option to extend for another year.
