Alex Meret’s Napoli debut looks set to be delayed again, with reports he hasn’t fully recovered from his broken arm.
The 21-year-old joined the Partenopei in the summer and was given the number 1 shirt, but he was injured in his first training session.
Yesterday Gazzetta dello Sport reported that he could make his debut against Red Star, but today the same outlet has more pessimistic news.

Meret had a plate inserted into his arm, and the injury isn’t responding well to making saves in training.
While he can catch and throw, the goalkeeper can’t parry the ball properly, as he is still having difficulty moving his hand.
It’s therefore likely he’ll be out for at least another month, meaning he probably won’t make his debut until 2019.
