Manchester City have confirmed one of their players, reported to be Benjamin Mendy, is self-isolating after a member of his family was hospitalised with Coronavirus-style symptoms.
According to The Sun, paramedics were seen at Mendy’s home, as someone staying with the midfielder was suffering from respiratory problems.
“The Club is aware that a family member of a Senior Men’s team player is in hospital with symptoms of a respiratory illness,” read a statement.

“The Club is aware that a family member of a Senior Men’s team player is in hospital with symptoms of a respiratory illness,” read a statement.
“He has undergone tests at hospital, one of which is for COVID-19. Until the results are known, the player in question is self-isolating as a precaution.”
Leicester City already have three players self-isolating after suffering from symptoms of Coronavirus.
Serie A has two players who have so far tested positive, Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini.
