According to reports in Italy, Jorge Mendes is pushing to let his client Renato Sanches leave Lille in January with Milan, Arsenal and Liverpool interested.

The contract of the Portuguese midfielder expires in June 2023 and the Rossoneri seem a likely destination for him.

“Maybe Milan and Arsenal are interested but I don’t know,” Sanches told L’Equipe on Monday.

“Milan are a big and historic club. It’s class, I like them.”

Sanches admitted that he is ready to leave Lille in January and according to Calciomercato.com, his agent Jorge Mendes is doing everything he can to meet his client’s demands.

Talks between the player’s entourage and the Rossoneri are ongoing, but Lille want at least €35m to sell the player in the January transfer window.

Milan are unlikely to offer as much, but the Rossoneri will make an attempt to sign the Portugal international in January.

Mendes and Milan are on good terms and if Milan fail to convince Lille in January, they will try to sign Sanches in the summer, knowing that the competition will be fierce as Arsenal and Liverpool are also monitoring the 24-year-old.
