Felipe Melo’s move to Inter appears to be dead, as his agent says he’ll renew with Galatasaray and Piero Ausilio hints there’s no space for him.

The Brazilian midfielder has been keen to return to Serie A this summer, and to link up with Roberto Mancini again, having worked with the Nerazzurri Coach in Turkey.

However, the former Fiorentina midfielder’s agent today admits the situation has changed, and Melo is likely to stay in Istanbul.

“The situation has changed slightly,” Redonda Jose Rodriguez told FCInterNews.

“The situation has changed slightly,” Redonda Jose Rodriguez told FCInterNews.

“Now we’re looking at an offer to renew with Galatasaray, which is currently the most likely solution.

“I’m not going to lie, we could extend the deal for another two or three seasons.”

The Beneamata’s sporting director Piero Ausilio also hinted the move had collapsed, telling Mediaset that Melo will only arrive if players leave.

“We’ve already got the right numbers in midfield. Melo would only become an option if somebody leaves."
