The Italian papers are impressed by the inspiring performance from Milan full-back Theo Hernandez, who entered to help the Rossoneri claim a 2-0 win over Venezia with a goal and an assist.

Hernandez was given a breather and Fodé Ballo-Touré was given his first start since joining the Rossoneri from Monaco.

But Milan struggled to break the deadlock against newly promoted Venezia, until Hernandez entered in the second half.

The France international, called up for the first time during the last international break, changed the pace of the Diavolo’s attack and set up Brahim Diaz for the opening goal, before burying the game by scoring the second.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says he ‘turned on the light’ for the Rossoneri, while Il Corriere dello Sport believes he experienced a ‘magical evening’ and was ‘necessary’ for Stefano Pioli’s men to win the game.

Tuttosport writes the uncertainties against Liverpool and Torino are now forgotten, as he returs to the role of ‘Super Theo’.
