La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote Tammy Abraham was ‘one of the disappointment’ of the Rome Derby while Maurizio Sarri ‘attracted José Mourinho into his trap.’

The Biancocelesti secured a 3-2 win over Roma in the Derby Della Capitale with goals courtesy of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Pedro and Luis Alberto.

It was one of the most thrilling and intense games of the season in Serie A with Roma that went down twice to two goals and were unable to level the score despite goals from Roger Ibanez and Jordan Veretout.

Serie A Highlights: Lazio 3-2 Roma

Italian media analysed the game with La Gazzetta dello Sport that picked former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham as ‘one of the disappointments of the day.’

“He was unable to win any duel with either Francesco Acerbi or Luiz Felipe and didn’t produce a single shot on target,” wrote the pink paper that rated the Englishman 5.5/10, just like Tuttosport, while Il Corriere dello Sport was harsher with a rating of 5/10.

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri, on the other hand, was the big winner of the day.

Despite a few underwhelming results before the Derby della Capitale, including a 2-2 draw against Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico, the Tuscan managed to ‘attract Mourinho into his trap,’ and was rated 7 by Gazzetta, Corriere and Tuttosport.

Sarri-ball isn’t still there as Lazio won the derby mainly thanks to their lethal counter-attacks, but Italian media see the Biancocelesti’s win as a potential turning point for their season.

However, according to the pink paper, the Giallorossi deserved a draw, so the Special One was rated 6.5.

Tuttosport and Il Corriere dello Sport don’t share the same view, with the Special One rated 5.5/10 on both papers.
