He was the best Juventus player on the pitch, according to each one of the three Italian sports papers.

La Gazzetta dello Sport rated the former Fiorentina star 7/10 and wrote he ‘deserves a statue’ for keeping Juventus’ Champions League hopes alive.

“He is repaying the club’s trust with some great performances and crucial goals,” the pink paper wrote.

“He was missing one in Champions League and he found it.”

Rodrigo Bentancur was the worst player on the pitch according to Italian papers, but there are many other Juventus players who failed to live up to expectations, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Dejan Kulusevski and Weston McKennie.
