Bologna have announced that midfielder Gary Medel will be out of action for two to three weeks with a hamstring strain.
The 33-year-old Chile international sustained the injury during training and tests have shown a Grade I lesion of the hamstring in his right leg.
“His recovery period is estimated to be 2-3 weeks.”
That means Medel will miss Bologna’s opening Serie A game against Milan and probably also the September 28 clash with Parma.

He made 24 competitive appearances for the Rossoblu last season, but missed all of January with a muscular problem.
