Weston McKennie has returned to the USA and watched Los Angeles FC vs. Portland Timbers last night after Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said that the midfielder’s season is over.

The former Schalke 04 man suffered a compound fracture of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones of his left foot in Juventus’ Champions League tie against Villarreal two weeks ago. The Serie A giants announced the midfielder would remain out of action for two months.

However, Allegri revealed yesterday that McKennie’s season is already over. “Unfortunately, we’ll see him again next season,” the coach said at the end of the match.

McKennie has now returned to the USA. He spent the last few days in Los Angeles where he watched a LA Lakers’ game two days ago and Los Angeles FC vs. Portland Timbers last night.

LAFC posted on Instagram a picture of McKennie meeting their fans before the match.
