Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie didn’t play in USA’s 1-0 defeat to Panama due to a muscle issue in the right thigh, but he should be available to play against Roma.

The USA international, capped 25 times, was welcomed back by the national team this month and played the full 90 minutes of the 2-0 win over Jamaica.

But the Bianconeri midfielder missed his months second game of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers against Panama due to a muscle problem.

Aguero rejected Juventus move twice

The 23-year-old, who arrived at Juventus from Schalke 04 ahead of 2020-21, was not in coach Gregg Berhalter’s squad for the match.

McKennie has, according to Calciomercato.com, suffered a muscle strain in his right thigh and was given a chance to rest in the 1-0 loss.

The Old Lady, however, should have McKennie back in contention for the upcoming League match against Jose Mourinho’s Roma on Sunday.

The instrumental tests didn’t reveal any serious damage to the thigh and the players is already in Ohio, where he should be able to start against Costa Rica on October 14.
