Weston McKennie looks forward to making his debut with Leeds United after an initial loan move from Juventus: ‘I’ve been dreaming of playing in the Premier League.’

Juventus sent the American midfielder out on loan at Elland Road in the January transfer window and McKennie is looking forward to getting started with his new club.

“One week ago I didn’t know I had gone anywhere and now I am coming here,” McKennie told Sky Sports UK.

“When I heard about the interest, I was excited, there are people I know here. I know the support is amazing, fans get crazy and it’s a ten-time energy boost on the field, so I am definitely excited.”

McKennie said Leeds’ stadium is “dope”, “really nice and top level.”

He also admitted that he’s been dreaming of playing in the Premier League for a long time and his dream has finally come true.

McKennie spent two and a half years at Juventus, scoring 13 goals in 96 appearances.
