Juventus midfielders Weston McKennie and Fabio Miretti have been in training with the rest of the first team squad on Thursday ahead of the highly-anticipated Derby d’Italia against rivals Inter on Sunday.

McKennie withdrew from the United States national team squad earlier in the week due to an aggravated tendinopathy in his knee. His departure from the USMNT was thought to be for precautionary reasons.

Miretti has also missed a few days of training in the build up to Sunday’s headline fixture, but has also since returned to the group.

Both midfielders are in contention to start against Inter at the Allianz Stadium according to Goal Italia’s Juventus reporter Romeo Agresti.

Elsewhere, Manuel Locatelli is not expected to feature, having withdrawn from the Italy squad with an injury at the beginning of the international break.

Captain Danilo has also not yet returned to training following his slightly longer-term injury lay-off.
