Weston McKennie has reportedly picked up a muscular injury ruling him out for two weeks, so Juventus will be missing 12 players against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Bianconeri really are in the depths of an injury crisis at the moment and made the trip to Lecce last night without 10 players.

That situation deteriorated, as Samuel Iling Junior sprained his ankle and will be out for circa 20 days.

According to Goal.com, McKennie has also been diagnosed with a hamstring strain after coming off at half-time at the Stadio Via Del Mare and is likely to be out of action for at least two weeks.

It should not put the United States international at risk for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, though.

The situation against PSG in the Champions League is even worse because Danilo is suspended, adding to the absentee list.

The list already includes Dusan Vlahovic and Manuel Locatelli – who might be able to make it for midweek – Leandro Paredes, Angel DI Maria, Gleison Bremer, Mattia De Sciglio, Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge.

Juventus have not yet guaranteed their place in the Europa League, as they could still be leapfrogged by Maccabi Haifa.

They also then have a Serie A showdown with old rivals Inter next weekend.

  1. Its sad that we willnot play in europa league, but with such coachand rabiot and sczeczny I know we would not reach europa league never

  2. Maybe in 2023 the team will be back, but they have now lost out in Serie A and CL and can only hope Europa league is a chance, with Barcelona, Man United and Arsenal still in it, it won’t be that easy.

  3. Maybe it’s the Rainbow Six training methods of the wise man of calcio, better known as Mission Impossible Max.
