Roma coach Jose Mourinho had dinner with MMA champion Conor McGregor in Rome, the tactician referred to as ‘a legend.’

McGregor was in the Italian Capital because his son is getting baptised at the Vatican, so he had a private visit to the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican museum, before a special dinner with guests including Mou.

The image of the meeting was shared on both their Instagram accounts, with the Portuguese boss confirming he offered him “the most beautiful shirt in town” from Roma.

It was the Number 10 with Conor as the name rather than McGregor.

In turn, McGregor handed over a bottle of his own personalised whiskey brand.

In his Instagram, McGregor noted: ‘Respect to this man. Legend.’

The 33-year-old from Dublin was ranked as the highest paid athlete in the world by Forbes in 2021, earning a reported $180m.

Roma will be in Turin tomorrow evening to face Juventus in Serie A.
