Kylian Mbappé was the undisputed man of the match against Juventus last night, while Weston McKennie was the best player on the pitch for the Old Lady.

The France star scored twice in the opening 22 minutes, while the USMNT international was introduced in the second half and found the net only eight minutes later.

It wasn’t enough for the Bianconeri to get a result in Paris, but McKennie was the best player on the pitch for the Serie A giants, according to Italian sports papers.

Il Corriere dello Sport described Mbappé as ‘unstoppable’ and rated the France star 8/10, same as Gazzetta and Tuttosport.

Juventus became more dangerous in the second half also thanks to the introduction of McKennie who didn’t waste a goal-scoring opportunity as he had done in Florence over the weekend.

Wes was rated 6.5 by Gazzetta and Tuttosport and 7 by Corriere dello Sport.

Gigio Donnarumma got a passing grade despite being caught in no man’s land when Juventus scored in the second half. The Italy international produced two crucial saves helping the Ligue 1 giants maintain their lead in the first and the second half.

Juventus’ most disappointing players were Leo Bonucci, Gleison Bremer, Juan Cuadrado and Adrien Rabiot and according to Gazzetta, Leo Messi was the worst PSG player (5.5). Corriere and Tuttosport offered a different view, rating the ex-Barcelona star 6.5, still below his teammates Neymar (7.5) and Mbappé.

  1. Slow, negative, and devoid of ideas for much of the game.
2-1 down, 10 mins from time …. and they were walking(!) with the ball. I mean literally walking with the ball. The second half was not a good performance, they simply tried ‘a bit’. They did the minimum required of professional sportsmen.
Does Allegri think he’s some sort of 1980s phoenix? Does he not watch other games? Or understand modern football and how successful teams play?
Why would anyone volunteer their time to watch that? I’d rather eat a plate of salt than endure that misery again.

  2. I would like to watch PSG play without Neymar to see what’s happening with the overall game and how much better Mbappe would play.It would be very interesting .
