PSG star Kylian Mbappé praises Marco Verratti and Gigio Donnarumma and says that ‘it’s a pleasure’ to play with the goalkeeper in Paris.

Mbappé was named Player of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Monday.

Talking to Sky Sport Italia after the ceremony, Mbappé discussed his relationship with his teammates Verratti and Donnarumma.

“They are incredible, they are so important for us,” the striker said.

“Verratti has been in Paris for so many years, he is a key player for us, the best midfielder in the world.

“Donnarumma is the goalkeeper of the future, it’s a pleasure to have him at PSG.”

The 22-year-old goalkeeper joined the Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer from Milan in the summer.

He is not a regular starter in Paris, but Mauricio Pochettino is rotating him and Keylor Navas.

Verratti is one of the PSG veterans, having moved to the Parc des Princes from Pescara in a €12m deal in 2012.

Verratti and PSG stars hint at Mbappé contract extension?

The 29-year-old has played 359 games with PSG, scoring nine goals.

Mbappé’s contract expires at the end of the season and Real Madrid have been strongly linked with securing his services as a free agent in the summer of 2022.

However, his PSG teammates, including Verratti, hinted at Mbappé’s possible extension with the Ligue 1 giants during the striker’s birthday party last week.
