Thiago Motta will continue relying on Samuel Mbangula, especially after injuries to Francisco Conceiçao and Nico Gonzalez, while Juventus push to extend the Belgian starlet’s contract, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Belgium U21 international Mbangula is climbing up the pecking order at the Allianz Stadium and is expected to get even more playing time after the September international break.

Juventus, in fact, recently confirmed a muscle injury to Francisco Conceiçao, which will force the Portugal international to the sidelines for one month.

Another new signing, Nico Gonzalez, suffered an injury during the international break and will be assessed by doctors in Argentina in the coming hours.

It remains to be seen whether Nico will return to Turin or stay with his national team until the end of the September break, but Mbangula will surely get regular game time in the coming weeks.

The 20-year-old scored on his debut against Como on Matchday 1 and has started three games from three, also providing two assists and earning a penalty kick

Gazzetta reports that following Mbangula’s convincing performances, Juventus will offer the 20-year-old a new deal.

His current contract in Turin runs out in June 2026 and Juventus will offer him a new agreement until 2029 with a pay rise in line with his current role in the team.
