Inter legend Sandro Mazzola admits he “would’ve been wrong” in not wanting Antonio Cassano at the club.

Cassano made the move in exchange for Giampaolo Pazzini plus cash to cross from one Milan club to the other this summer.

“I would not have signed Cassano and I am fully aware that I would’ve been wrong,” Mazzola told the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

FantAntonio has left numerous sides in bitter circumstances during his career, including Roma, Real Madrid and Sampdoria.

“I really like this Inter side, because Andrea Stramaccioni has given them a strong character.”
