Walter Mazzarri concedes Torino “looked a different team” in their defeat to Parma compared to last week’s 4-1 victory at Sampdoria.
The Granata were unbeaten in six rounds, yet crumbled 2-1 at home to a Parma side that had one point from three Serie A games.
“It did look like a different team compared to last week. In modern football, you need to be organised, concentrated and have everyone press together,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We worked badly in training, evidently it was my own fault too, as we are not mature enough to play the ‘smaller’ games the same way as the bigger fixtures.
“Parma were more aggressive, they stole the ball off us and went on the counter. We keep gifting goals early on and it can’t just be a coincidence, as it keeps happening.
“We have certain characteristics and if we lose sight of those, we end up with performances like this. If we want to press high, we need everyone to push hard and work together.
“We didn’t read the situations well, as when I put two strikers on in the second half, they were meant to stay close together and wait for the crosses. Instead we did everything possible not to put crosses in.
“We were all at sea, our concentration and mentality were completely wrong for a match at this level and it mustn’t happen again.”
There was a controversial incident just before half-time when not even a free kick was given as Lorenzo De Silvestri was brought down on the edge of the area.
“You have the footage and VAR, but honestly, I’m fed up of talking about these things. I allowed myself to say some things against Frosinone and it was a mistake. I don’t want the team to seek alibis, because we played badly today and did not deserve anything from the game.
“Now the break for international duty will be longer and tougher than usual. It really let me down, because we’d won back the ball and pushed hard for three games in a row, so this attitude today really was a disappointment. If you lack intensity, you’ll get nowhere. It all went wrong, I didn't like any of it."
