“He’s coming off an injury, and as often happens in that situation he’s struggled for consistency,” Mazzarri explained in his pre-match Press conference.

“I hope he can find it now, I’m not just talking about goals, I mean all-round. When I see Belotti running and helping the team I’m calm.
“Since he’s come back his performances have been a bit up-and-down, tomorrow I hope he’s better than against Chievo, because we need him if we’re going to get an important result against a strong team like Milan.
“Will he stay? I’m only thinking of Milan. Clearly the Coach always hopes his best players will stay, but it’s not like I’m calling the President every day to ask if Belotti is staying.
“We’ll speak in June and I’m sure we’ll have a great transfer campaign.”
M’Baye Niang hasn’t played since March 18, and there have been rumours of him missing training…

“If and when I use him he’ll have to show he can do well and do what’s needed. If he does that he’ll be an added value, if not he’ll just be another member of the squad.
