“We made some naïve errors, as if someone lying on the floor between three defenders manages to have two shots, scoring the second, that’s our own fault.
“Zaniolo is talented, he’s eager and so determined, while every now and then we fall asleep. Football is about the details and we just needed to be a little more reactive to hoof it clear.
“We conceded another on a form of counter-attack, so the mistakes were just absurd. We do this too often and are self-destructive, ruining otherwise positive performances.
“Luck isn’t on our side at the moment, we even hit the post. At least we had several shots on target today, including the incredible chance that Andrea Belotti usually scores and that could’ve been 3-3.
“I used Vittorio Parigini because he was meant to complete give-and-go moves down the flanks, but we didn’t get the timing right and were continually caught offside. Iago Falque did not seem sharp today and wasn’t finding the spaces he needed to. Lyanco basically didn’t play for a year due to injuries and was rusty.
“When we create that many chances and make life that difficult for Roma, we have to convert more of them. Parigini is young and lacking some confidence, but he could’ve run at the defenders and reached the by-line.”
