“We have to focus on ourselves and not the opposition. We need to get back on track by avoiding the errors we’ve been making lately,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We’ve got even less margin for error than usual because Inter are such a strong side. We’ve been working on everything, discussing it within the team and analysing what we should and shouldn’t be doing.

“At least we managed to score two goals against Roma, but conceded three and so it counts for very little. Samir Handanovic is an excellent goalkeeper, so we’re going to have to be more precise in front of goal. It’s important to respect the strengths of the opposing team, but also believe in our own capabilities.”

There are rumours Simone Zaza will start with Andrea Belotti, leaving Iago Falque on the bench.

“Falque is an important player and works with great intensity, but you can’t maintain form at the top all the way through the season. If we are to leave Iago on the bench, we need someone else to be in fantastic shape.

“This team deserves a confidence booster. We’re improving and just need to be more consistent.”

Not only is Mazzarri up against his old club Inter, he is also facing old friend and fellow Tuscan Luciano Spalletti.

“We had similar career paths and sat together when getting our coaching badges for the third tier, proud of what we had achieved. Spalletti has been training at the top level for 20 years, so that means he’s got something special. There is a shared respect between us.”

Soualiho Meite continues his two-match ban and is the only absentee for Mazzarri’s men.

Torino squad for Inter: Ichazo, Rosati, Sirigu; Aina, Ansaldi, Bremer, De Silvestri, Djidji, Izzo, Lyanco, Moretti, Nkoulou; Baselli, Berenguer, Lukic, Parigini, Rincon; Belotti, Edera, Falque, Millico, Zaza
