Napoli will be through to the Champions League knockouts as long as they avoid defeat to Villarreal on Tuesday.

“In the Champions League nobody wants to lose and I know full well it won’t be easy against Villarreal, especially as we are away from home. They are a good side and have some important players coming back into the team. Let’s not forget they knocked us out of the Europa League last year.”

Mazzarri also warned Napoli’s concentration levels started to drift at the San Paolo on Saturday night.

“Lecce caused us problems, especially in the first half when they were working so hard. Then our goal broke the deadlock. In fairness, the result was too heavy on Lecce considering the way the match went.

“We need to improve in some situations, especially when we are in the lead and think we’ve finished off the game. Just as we did on Tuesday against Juventus” data-scaytid=”35″>Juventus, we made life more complicated for ourselves than it needed to be.

“You can never let go for a second in modern football or you will get punished.”
