The Partenopei lost the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final 2-1 to Siena, scoring only with a late own goal after hitting the woodwork and forcing goalline clearances.
“In the first half we created three or four scoring opportunities, but unfortunately this season we waste so many chances. It’s really not going our way,” said the Coach.
“At our first mistake, we conceded a goal. My Napoli played well up to the end and I could not have asked for more from my lads. In terms of performance, I’d say we deserved to win it.
“The second leg will have to be played with legs and brain, as qualification for the Final is still open. We hope some incidents start to go in our favour.
“We’ve been playing every three days non-stop since the start of the season, so it’s only natural to lose a little sharpness.”
