The Nerazzurri are battling for qualification in their International Champions Cup group after a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid, which they then won on penalties.
“Looking back on the game, I was even more satisfied and happy,” Mazzarri told Inter Channel.
“The squad was able to suffer under pressure and wanted the result right to the end, including the shoot-out.
“I am very happy and I talked about it with the lads. These performances are more confidence boosters that give us strength and conviction going forward, both in the United States and in Serie A.”
Inter’s next opponents are Manchester United, who beat Roma 3-2 in the other match.
“At this moment Manchester United seem unbeatable. They won their first game 7-0 against LA Galaxy and then got an easy enough victory over Roma, despite the late comeback.
“It will be a great test. We will go there to fight it out, then see what the result is at the end.
“I know Van Gaal and his methods. We will prepare on a tactical level first and foremost, then I’ll choose the line-up.
“Will I rotate the squad? I’ll talk to those who played against Real Madrid, but it shouldn’t be a problem.”
