“We’ve already faced Fiorentina twice this season and we’ve seen they are an excellent, young side that run hard,” said the Coach in his Press conference, referring also to the Coppa Italia defeat.
“Toro don’t have a positive record in Florence. On top of that, our games never seem to finish without some extra twist, so we must remain concentrated to the final whistle.
“Anyone in this job knows that you can do really well, but there is always the imponderable on the horizon. We have caused better teams than Fiorentina problems, so we can do it again.”
The Granata suffered a shock 3-2 home defeat to Bologna before the break for international duty, but have Ola Aina and Nicolas N’Koulou suspended against Fiorentina.
“We’re going to need all the players in the squad, especially with three games over the next week. It’s important that we get back to playing the way we were before the Bologna defeat.
“The next run of games could well set our season on its path and we have to start strong in Florence.”
