Walter Mazzarri wants Torino to play as they can for the full 90 minutes against Fiorentina this afternoon.

The Granata have lost their last three Serie A matches, including a 3-0 defeat at Roma in their last outing.

Today they host the Viola, with the Stadio Olimpico boss needing a win if his side are to revive their hopes of Europa League qualification.

“The result is what matters, but performances and mentality matter as well,” Mazzarri commented ahead of the clash.

“We are taking forward a certain type of project and we want to accelerate our progression.

“We are looking to work hard and improve the team.

“And we have done it. At times you have seen it in a good way, at other times less so.

“We need to avoid falling behind, or look to play the football we like to play for the whole match.”

Adem Ljajic is set to start on the bench once more but Mazzarri has no issue with leaving the Serb among the substitutes.

”It’s not a problem, I have simply made other choices.

“Up until now, Adem has not played under me so I can’t say he is an asset.”
