Walter Mazzarri will be happy with the summer arrival of Marco Andreolli if he is named as the new Inter boss.
The defender is set to re-join the Nerazzurri on a Bosman free transfer once his contract at Chievo expires next month.
“He’ll probably sign a four-year deal,” agent Patrick Bastianelli told Sport Italia. “Is he liked by Mazzarri? Yes.
“Napoli have made enquiries for him in the past, once when his Roma contract was coming to an end and then his Chievo one.
“If Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon made those moves then it is clear that he would have been wanted by Mazzarri.
“But that is water under the bridge. Andreolli is about to return to Inter and he is very happy about that.”
The centre-back was signed by the Beneamata youth system in 2003 from Padova. He joined Roma in the summer of 2007.
Mazzarri is being tipped to replace Andrea Stramaccioni at Inter after he confirmed that he will be leaving Napoli.
