Maxi: ‘It’ll be a wonderful Christmas’

Catania striker Maxi Lopez believes he will be able to enjoy Christmas with his family now after Sunday's 1-0 victory over Brescia in Serie A.

The Argentine scored the winner in the 32nd minute, lifting his side to a respectable 12th place at the start of the annual winter break.

Maxi's goal was extra special as it came just a day after the birth of his second child Costantino.

"It will be a beautiful Christmas because of my son, the victory and because we can think carefully about the next three matches," he said.

"We face Roma and Inter in Serie A and Juventus in the Coppa Italia.

"The important thing is to always play to win and we can do it," he concluded.

Maxi has been repeatedly linked with Juventus in recent months, so it remains to be seen whether he moves in the January transfer window.
